Africa 2017
These are photographs are shot in South Africa 2017. T7 Images visited Johannesburg, which is South Africa's biggest city and capital of Gauteng province, which began as a 19th-century gold-mining settlement. Its sprawling Soweto Township was once home to Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. The country of The Kingdom of Swaziland was also explored it’s known for the wild wilderness reserves, festivals, and Swazi Culture. Swaziland is a land locked nation neighbored by Mozambique to its east and by South Africa to its north, west and south. Swaziland is also the home of Hlane Royal National Park is home to diverse wildlife including lions, hippos, elephants, and rare rhinos. There were several other provinces encountered such as Pretoria, Soweto, and Durban. While there this year I had the distinct honor of photographing the King of Swaziland; King Mswati III and his Royal, Dignitaries, and Guess during the Limpopo Marula Festival. I also captured some amazing photos from Premier Company’s charity outreach program in Swaziland at a primary school within one of the mountain bush communities. Premier has a rich history spanning more than 195 years and operates 16 bakeries, 5 wheat mills, 2 maize mills, a sugar confectionery plant and 24 distribution depots situated in South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho and has a Lil-Lets sales office based in the UK. It was a pleasure to shoot/document the caring Premier Family of dedicated employees as they set up food stations on site, gave out new shoes and school uniforms to very underprivileged young children. I was elated to the see such a Mega Company setting goals to provide such an ongoing support within the community. South Africa is a truly wonderful land.
